Yoga to me is coming home to myself. It allows me to connect with my body, breath and emotions – my internal landscape – so I can be the best version of myself in the outer world. It’s a portal to access my inner compass.
What styles of yoga do you teach?
Vinyasa, Yin and Yin & Yang yoga. I also host holistic retreats in Tuscany where besides my main Vinyasa practice, I guide women’s circles, teach Yin & Journaling classes and cycle awareness workshops.
What do you love most about teaching yoga?
I love guiding students out of their busy minds and into their bodies. One of my favorite things is setting the mood and witnessing the magic that can take place when you combine the right music and sequence of yoga poses with breath and moments of reflection. Add a few candles, some incense or lavender essential oil and we’re all set. I’m also a big fan of hands-on adjustments. I love watching students feel empowered and really ‘getting’ what a pose should feel like after a very small adjustment.
