Why did you start with yoga?
To learn to slow down and soften. Heal and recover from the injuries resulted from the fighter I had to become to survive. I had to relearn to live to give my daughter a better chance. I was looking for something that combined the level of physicality my body needs with art that would also give me the opportunity to develop intellectually and spiritually while handling the complexity of my emotions actively with discipline. The practice of Yoga is my quest for personal freedom that has enabled me to express my creativity more genuinely too.

Why did you become a yoga teacher?
To hold myself accountable to the practice. Sharing is the best way to learn. Serving is what drives me most in life.

What do you love most about teaching yoga?
Showing up to connect with people in a conscious space. To serve, learn, have fun and grow while being real and feeling relevant.

What styles of yoga do you teach?
Sri Sri Yoga is my favorite. It is Hatha Yoga in its most ancient and authentic form integrating all 4 paths of Yoga into a 90 minute practice. From this school I have branched out to offer Hatha Yoga, Breathing, Meditation and Nidra sessions, Power Yoga, Yin and Vinyasa Flow. Now, more fun than Surf Yoga, I’m yet to see. Love curating a surf music playlist and bringing the fusion of surf and yoga to the board.

Can you describe your personal teaching style in a few words?
My sessions are an invitation to move from a body of tension to a body pleasure. To gain more freedom from mental and physical pain. To energize the body creating space for relaxation to take place as a natural consequence. To open up space for new vital energy beyond shape, gender and age celebrating the power and beauty from this gift of nature we have all received.

What is your favourite song for Savasana?
“Shavasana” by Gabrielle Roth and The Mirrors

What is your favourite book or movie?
Movie: “The Matrix”
Book: I’m not much of a reader, but reading “Love is a Choice” was key to breaking free from toxic relationships.
